My research is an ongoing exploration informing a desire to come to term with the notion of artificiality.
The results are varied: in some cases there is an attempt to make the artwork either disappear, sometimes a challenge to transform it into a pseudo-functional object (furniture) and other times into the vernacular.
The creation/process is crucial to investigate my reflection on the relationship between reality and representation.
I am often interested in the manufacturing of highly finished objects as an understanding of the dynamics behind the categorization of different fields: craftsmanship, industrial design and fine art where the market value of an object is often measured according to the durability of its materials or its social status.
